Appointment Provisions

The Commission consists of three Canadian Commissioners and three American Commissioners. The Canadian Commissioners are appointed by the Governor in Council to hold office typically for a term of two or three years.

Quorum

All decisions of the Commission shall be made by a concurring vote of at least two of the Commissioners of each Contracting Party.

Remuneration

Member

  • Fixed by GiC: Position;
    per diem ($200 - $250)
  • Plus travel and living expenses. Public servants - Nil
